This module will cover:
Business Organisations: Different types of business; advantages and disadvantages; Business organizations and their goals.
Creating and managing a business: Being an entrepreneur/practicing entrepreneurship; Business idea and business opportunities; Macro and micro screening of business idea; Business planning; Financing a business plan; Resource mobilization; Financial goal and financial planning.
Theories of managing organisations: Basic Concepts of Management: Definitions, Need and Scope, Different schools of management thought- Classical theories: scientific management, administrative management, bureaucracy– Behavioral and Human relations (Motivation, leadership, Team building, communication), Modern and contemporary theories: systems and contingency, TQM, Systems and Contingency; Different perspectives of management theory.
